Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University Welcomes Delegates from Leibniz University Hannover, Germany
On the morning of 25 November 2025, the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Sauheitl Leopold and Dr. Leiber-Sauheitl Katharina Dominica from Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. The delegates met with the Dean, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, and the Vice Dean for International Relations and International Affairs to discuss academic collaboration and future research opportunities.
As part of their visit, the faculty hosted a Special Lecture featuring two compelling research topics:
Use of Stable Isotopes in Ecological Studies by Dr. Sauheitl Leopold
Peat and peat substitutes for professional horticulture production by Dr. Leiber-Sauheitl Katharina Dominica
Following the lectures, both institutions engaged in a fruitful knowledge exchange session and discussed potential pathways for academic and research collaboration in the coming years.
This event is part of the ongoing cooperation under the MoA within the research project:
Eurasian Network for Collaborative Research on Tree-Root-Mycorrhizal-Pathogen Interactions in Forest Soils,
a 4-year initiative led by
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tharnrat Kaewgrajang, Project Leader
Dr. Orracha Sae-Tun, Project Member
The program also includes the active participation of several faculty members, researchers, and students from Kasetsart University who are involved in the project’s research activities.
This meaningful academic exchange marks another step forward in enhancing the Faculty of Forestry’s international engagement, strengthening research cooperation with leading global institutions, and fostering future scientific collaboration that contributes to sustainable forest and environmental management.
