International Webinar on Forest Work Safety and Human Factors
The Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, under the Sustainable Forestry Operations for the Bioeconomy: A Nordic–Thai Knowledge Exchange Initiative Program, cordially invites faculty members, researchers, and students to join an international online webinar entitled “Forest Work Safety and Human Factors,” to be held on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at 14.00 hrs. (GMT+7) / 9.00 hrs. (UTC+2).
The session will be delivered by Dr. Heli Kymäläinen, University Lecturer at the School of Forest Sciences, University of Eastern Finland (UEF), whose research focuses on the safety, well-being, and productivity of forest machine operators. Drawing on her doctoral dissertation “Well-being and Productivity of Forest Machine Operators – Ergonomic Support Measures” (2025), the webinar will address key safety risks in mechanized forestry, human factors influencing operator performance, ergonomic support measures, and practical approaches to enhancing work safety and operational efficiency.
